The SAHM Ups & Downs

After working outside of the home last year I was ready for a break. But who knew this break would last into the Fall? I am still waiting for my substitute teaching license to appear in my mailbox & when it does hopefully I will be working a few days at the school. Until then I have to remember that being home really is a treat! I have time for this:

So even though my mood of the day is still dependant on how the morning goes with my kiddos (And when in the world did Spencer decide he cares what he wears to school? He's 8 for cryin' in the night!) I need to remember that being home leaves me time for important things! And I am one heck of a lucky girl to be able to be home.

My Pumpkin Patch Album

While Spencer was sick this week I completed this great little 6x6 album. Then Friday when he was feeling better we headed out to the pumpkin patch for some pictures (oh ya, and to get a pumpkin). Here's how it turned out!

I just wanted to share this layout I did today of my beautiful girl! This smile would warm the heart of the toughest dude & since she's thirteen, we don't see it nearly as much as we would like;) She is a total teenager with the emotional roller coaster rides, but she is truely a wonderful person & the world is a better place because she is in it! Luv ya Lexi-Lou-Who!

Some New Layouts

So, with a sick kid at home I have had a chance to get some much needed scrapping done! Here are a few of my end results! Yes, they are with paper, not digital! Although the pictures have spent a little time on my Photoshop work space. It's fun to play with pictures then scrap them. It's kinda like the best of both worlds (digi & paper).

Soccer Season Is Here!

The other half the reason for my lack of blogging is Lexi playing volleyball. Yep, you heard it, we are a two sport family right now & it's tough. I'll get some pictures of Lex up soon!

1st Days of School!

Wow I feel old! One in 3rd grade & one in 8th. But no matter how old they make me feel sometimes, I think I have the best kids in the world! Here's to the best school year ever!

Wahkeena Falls Hike

The kids and I headed up the Gorge on Monday for a hike. We took the Wahkeena Falls loop which brought us around to the top of Multnomah Falls. It was so beautiful, and a great workout. 5.2 miles with the first half pretty steep, but totally worth it!

Another Blog?

Really? Yep, really. I started another blog. It's all about digital scrapping and my learning process. I have played around with it a little but nothing formal. So I am taking about 6 months to really learn how to digital scrapbook and sharing everything I learn. So, click here and go check out my new adventure!

A Great Day For A Picnic

Mom & I took the kids out yesterday for a picnic. We found Eagle Fern Park and had a great picnic right along the creek. The kids played in the water a little and had a blast throwing rocks. The weather was perfect for an adventure like this!
