Look Mom & Dad!

Just wanted to post a couple pictures for my Mom & Dad to show them what we have been up to! Yesterday we took friends up to Mt. St. Helens. The last time I was up there, it still had a top! You're right Dad, it has changed a little;)

Home Run Derby

I totally forgot to tell you that we got the chance to go to the AAA Home Run Derby at PGE Park on Monday night. We have seen the major league Home Run Derby on tv many times and all four of us LOVE it. So when the opportunity came for us to go to the AAA one, we jumped on it. The weather was great for a night at the ball park & we all had a blast together! Some day it would be a blast to see the major leauge guys doing this (dream a little dream)!

One More (For Now)

My online photo editing class is still going, actually today is the last day but I am a few days behind. Here's a technique we learned a couple days ago. Not sure I like the coloring but I will play with it a bit more when life is not quite so busy!

Playing With Pictures

This week has been absolutely crazy and it's only Tuesday. We have company coming Monday and we are tackling a lot of items on the to-do list before they get here. They are all things that should have been done a long time ago but now we have motivation. My kitchen now has one red wall (and when I say red, I mean RED). It's the color I have wanted on that wall for about 4 years & after five coats I have it! Also, last week I got this crazy idea to peel the 80's style wallpaper off our bathroom walls. I was totally fine with it gone, I knew one day it would have fresh paint. Well, we are in the process of painting right now. One coat is on & it should be done by tomorrow. Then the baseboard in the front bathroom has never been painted (my fault). So, before Dale & his wife get here I will have paint on the baseboards in there. That's a lot to do in less than one week but it is doable. And, whenever I can sneak a few minutes on the computer, I am still taking that class online from www.jessicasprague.com/ It's overwhelming some times but I am learning so much. Here are a few more of the pictures I have been playing with. Some are better than others & some are just plain yuck. But I am learning about the process & playing around!

Digital Layouts

Ok, so I think I'm addicted already (not so sure this is a good thing). I have played with digital scrapbooking a few times but never for any amount of time. I'm actually worried that it will take over my paper in hand scrapping. I don't know if I'm ready for this. Here is a layout I did this afternoon & man were it quick and easy! I think the hardest thing to do would be to organize all the stuff on the computer (knowing me, I'll lose it somewhere on this machine)! We'll see.

I told you guys about the class I signed up for online a few posts back. Well, it started today and here's my first assignment completed. It's fun & so far I have learned a thing or two about Photoshop. I'll post more projects when I have more time to play!
