New Shoestring Scrappin Updates
Spring Break projects
This is what's on my kitchen table right now. An album of Lexi. I use to keep all her school pictures, one behind the other, in a frame. Not any more! I found this adorable, and very Lexi looking paper line from Heidi Grace. Now her pictures will all be in one album. After I finish her's I will work on one for Spencer. His will be a little easier because he has less pictures (not cuz I like him less, just cuz he's younger).
I did have a chance last weekend to finish this project. I gave an old cork board a new look & hung it in my craft room. The fabric I put over the new cork is also from Heidi Grace. I just love her stuff!
So, Spencer's room is part way done and our room is in process (I truly think it will always be in process).Monday, March 23, 2009
The Great Spring Clean!
I have been telling the kids for months that we are doing nothing fun over Spring Break until the bedrooms are cleaned out. BORING, I know but it needs to be done.
Lexi's room (almost) Check!
Dining room Check!
Kitchen Check!
Cleaning the dog drool off the walls (Have you seen my dogs & their drool?) Check!
One load off to the Goodwill Check!
One overflowing garbage can Check!
One overflowing recycle bin (Those things are huge by the way) Check!
What's left:
Our room, Spencer's room, the hall closet, the coat closet. Pretty short list & I'm happy!
I'll keep you posted on our progress!

New Scrapbook Pages Done!
My Love page doesn't even have a picture & it's ok. There are no rules when it comes to scrapbooking. I had a story to tell but no pictures to go with it. I felt the story was important enough to tell even without pictures!
I took this picture a few weeks ago at the beach. This was the only good weather day we had & I caught Spencer in a rare walking moment!

My Bread Recipe
I guess the picture of the bread I shared a while back made some people hungry. So I decided to share my recipe with you. I found the recipe in a cooking magazine years ago. My kids love this bread toasted in the morning. Great flavor and easy (if I can make it, anyone can)! Enjoy.
5 Cups all-purpose flour
2 Packages yeast
1 TBS sugar
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 Cups warm milk
1/2 Cup warm water
2 TBS cornmeal
Mix 2 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Add warm milk and warm water, beat on low until mixed. Beat on high for about 3 minutes. Stir in remaining flour.
Coat 2 loaf pans 4x8 with nonstick cooking spray then sprinkle the pans with cornmeal. Put half of the dough into each pan sprinkle the tops with cornmeal. Cover and let rise in a warm place until the dough doubles in size (about 45 minutes). Bake at 375 for 35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove bread from pans and let cool on a wire rack.
