I Love Lip Gloss

Ok, maybe it's not love, more like an obsession but I really could not live without lip gloss! My friend Sandra & I were hanging out one day last summer & she asked where my purse was. I had to tell her that I didn't carry a purse most of the time because as long as my lip gloss was in my pocket, I was good to go! She just laughed at my priorities!

I Love My Pink Phone

Ok not all phones are the same right? Well, the reason behind my love of my phone is truly silly in some people's eyes. I love my phone because it's pink! That's it! Simple! It's pink! I'm a simple girl I guess!

I Loooooove My Craft Room

Since I do so many crafts & G got tired of having all my stuff spread all over the house, he built me a room! He took a closet that was in our great room, knocked the back wall out and extended it into the garage (carefully measuring it so my truck would still fit in the garage:) I love it! It is the perfect place for all my projects to come to life!

I Love Being a Beach Bum

We have had a beach house in our family since before I was born. I have very fond memories of great times spent there & I am working on building even more memories with our kids at the same beach house! This picture is one of my favorites. It's me & my brother taken on the beach in 1973!

Living Close To Family

When G got out of the Army Lexi was almost a year old. We had opportunities to live anywhere we wanted. Since both of us grew up close to our families, we decided that for her sake, we would move back to Oregon. The weather isn't the best but we both love being close to our families. It is so nice to have both sets of Grandparents living less than 10 miles from our house. It allows them to share in the everyday lives of our kiddos!

This is G's favorite licorice ever! We found it at the beach one weekend & he ate an entire container in 24 hours. This package was in his Valentine's Day gift. He got it on Sunday & by this morning it was all gone!

Spencer wants to be the next Apollo Ohno. He's seriously looking for a short track speed skating team to join as we speak. Until he finds one he is going to have to settle for practicing with his carpet sliders & baseball helmet worn backwards.

Lexi was chosen to play with an honor band. She had so much fun with this group of dedicated musicians & the concert was VERY good! It's so fun to hear the growth in her music as she gets older. Today was much different than those concerts we sat through when she was in 6th grade;)

The night before Valentine's Day I strung different color string all over the house leading each kiddo to their Valentine's Day gift! G thought I was crazy but the kids were really excited about it. It was much more fun than just opening a card with an I-Tunes gift card inside. Now Spencer wants me to do this every time he gets a gift.

A day off school & we went and had a great lunch with my parents. The kids just love my parent's backyard & lucky us, it didn't rain!

More Stuff I Love

I know it seems crazy but I really do love our air conditioner! Even though in Oregon it seems a bit silly most of the time, it's nice when it gets really hot!

I Love Flip-Flops

I really think part of the reason I love flip flops is because they remind me of summer weather, and to me there is nothing better than warm summer days! Old Navy flip flops are the greatest because they are two pairs for $5 so we each end up with about 4 pairs each (at least).

I Love...

Yes it's crazy but I love my truck. Some days it doesn't start, the heat only works in the back, the back wiper only works once every 5 months & G hates driving it but I still love my truck!

I Love Disney!

I absolutely LOVE everything Disney! I own almost every Disney movie, we have a tree full of Disney ornaments every year & both kiddos had (still have) a favorite Disney buddy that went everywhere with them. Spencer has Eeyore & Lexi has Winnie the Pooh. We took the kids to Disneyland 4 years ago & I was almost in tears with excitement walking through the entrance on our first day there! I was so excited to be there with the kiddos & see their excitement. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back soon.

The Best $40 I Ever Spent

Our little backyard pool got so much use over it's three year existence. Three years & I only spent $40 on it, now that's value!

We had dinner with the family at our house for my Dad's birthday. We ate wonderful pepper steaks & had Dad's favorite huckleberry pie for desert!

Friendship

There are so many people who have come into our lives. Some stay around forever, some stay for just a short amount of time & some come and go, but then find us again! That is Dale. He was like a brother to G when they were in the Army. After he got out, they lost track of each other. Last summer they found each other again & it's like no time has past. They are great friends & we are so lucky to have him back!

Wow! There are so many things I love! I was collecting more pictures to get ready for next week & I realized that I could fill over five albums with things I love! Maybe that's why I scrapbook. Maybe this will have to be an annual event! Hum, the possibilities are endless!

I love the fact that my family is full of people who love to take pictures! Not only does it help me sometimes get the perfect picture when I miss it, it is also something I grew up with! My family's picture taking hobbies allowed me to grow up around a camera, both in front & behind! Because I grew up with flashes going off all the time, I am use to it & feel comfortable with it!
