I won a blog award!

Thanks Shannon http://stampinbuds.blogspot.com/for honoring me with this cool blog award! I have never got one & not sure if I'm actually deserving of this prestigious honor:)

So here's the deal: I am suppose to pass the award on to 10 of my favorite blogs but (and here's where my dorkiness comes into play) I don't follow 10 other bloggers that know who I am:(

1. http://jacqueline80.blogspot.com/

2. http://amycatalogna.wordpress.com/

3. http://dastump.blogspot.com/

4. http://seekingtosurrender.blogspot.com/

5. http://www.angielucas.com/

6. http://aliedwards.typepad.com/

7. http://heidiswapp.typepad.com/

8. http://cathyzielske.typepad.com/

9. http://jenmcgscrap.blogspot.com/2008/10/be-present.html

10. http://jennifermcguireink.typepad.com/my_weblog/

The really sad part of this post is that most of these bloggers will never see that I have givin them this honor. I'm a blog stalker & proud of it. So, enjoy some of the blogs I stalk daily & let me get back to my scrappin life;)

Oh and if you do see that you made my list, copy and add the award to your own blog and nominate 10 of your favorite blogs!

Beach photos

Just wanted to share a few of the pictures I took of my kiddos at the beach house last week. Now I guess I need to print them up and get to scrappin!

Free Class

Darn, I forgot to tell you about another free class offered online at http://www.jessicasprague.com/
Go check it out. I took her last one called Stories in Hand & she is truly amazing. I will keep you posted on other opportunities that I discover.

Baking?

Taking the summer off work brings both good and bad feelings into my head. The good: playing with the kids, park days, getting things done around the house, sewing fun bags, scrapbooking & baking. All those things are great. I love spending the summer at home with the kids. The bad: listening to the kids argue because they have been together all day, "I'm bored!" in a whiny, shrill kind of tone, no paycheck & cooking more. So, taking a step back and surveying the situation, I've got it pretty good. Besides, the kids are not going to be around forever (except for Spencer who says he's going to live in a motor home along side our house FOREVER)! To keep myself busy I have been baking a ton. So far, yummy smells from my oven are from: cupcakes, two kinds of bread, a cheesecake for G for Daddy's Day, and today's special bagels from scratch (need to work on these a bit, rise baby, rise)!

Yet Another Cutie Bag!

Ok, so I think I am getting my sewing fix. I finished my second bag just about 3 minutes ago & I am so excited to show it to you.
I am loving it & can't wait to pack it full of park goin' goodies to leave in my truck for the summer! That way I know I will have everything I need for those last minute park runs.
What next? I'm actually thinking about doing a smaller version of this same bag cuz this one is pretty big (15x15x7). Cute right? But for now I must go get some much needed rest. I think I have some sinus issues going on again & it's wearing me out! I'll show more fun goodies when I'm feeling better! Have a great weekend!

Change of pace!

OK, so I know that I am really suppose to be scrapbooking my summer from beginning to end, but I had to mix it up a bit. I think I'm actually a bit ADD when it comes to crafting (not meaning to offend anyone who is actually facing the challenges of dealing with ADD)! So I like to sew sometimes, who cares? Now you will not ever see me show a knitting project (it stresses me out) but you will occasionally find some sewing ideas here. Ok maybe not ideas, more "Look what I did, isn't it cute?" So here's the cute grocery bag I made yesterday & today. The outside is denim (which you might already know I am totally in love with) & the inside is lime green with white hibiscus flowers. So totally cute and very cool idea if you are sick of those plastic grocery bags piling up on top of your washing machine (Ok maybe that's just where I keep mine)!

It's My Birthday!

G always asks me what I want to do for my Birthday. One year I want him to plan something but for now I am happy getting to do exactly what I want to do! This year we went hiking (sounds a bit like Mother's Day). The plan was to do one leg of the Salmon River-Devil's Peak hike. But when we got to the next trail head we decided to do both legs! OK wow that was an 11.8 mile hike! G & I have been running and walking for a few weeks so I knew we would be fine. But it was the kids that blew my mind! Lex is usually not a big hiker but when G told her that getting into better shape would help her in band, she was off & running (she is a total band geek & proud of it & I love that about her). Spencer has always had more energy than any one person should be allowed to have so obviously he did great.
What a fabulous day & a great way to spend my birthday!
